Flamenco in Adelaide

My current series with the working title "Flamenco in Adelaide" is a statement about the art of Duende in the little Flamenco sub-culture we have in Adelaide, Australia. The paintings aim to capture the shift in time where the dance goes beyond movement and into an estatic place called in Flamenco terms : Duende. I realise Duende as moments in movement and music that send shivers up my spine, pierce my head and body with pins and needles...goose bumps...ectasy...time and space spiral up.

Painted poems

I have been working on a series of three painted poems. These are verse written amongst sections of three dimensional work using latex and painted with metalic acrylic. A self devised technique.

Working with texture and metalic acrylics.
